Non-Ranger Outfit: Rohan Armor Sets

Sorry for the long delay between posts.  Life had taken hold and I could not escape its grasp!  Back now, though, and have a few new outfits lined up to display.  But first and foremost, I need to shift gears slightly and dig deep to find my Rohan side.

Given the fact that Helms Deep is right around the corner (and like a giddy little kid I went out and bought the most expensive addition with all the little perks and such), I started to fiddle around with the three different sets of Rohan armor to see what sorts of Rohan-ish type coolness I could make.  Here are a few of my favorite combinations with some action shots thrown in for good measure (I have to say I really like the scalable shield–good job devs!).  I realize these are all dismounted pictures.  Apologies to my Rohan-purist friends out there.

1. Heavy Cavalry

The first set is a fully armored heavy horse soldier.  Meant to fight at a full gallop, the armor is meant to look like it can withstand a beating.  I’m very pleased with how this turned out!

Head: Helm of the Hammerhand
Shoulders: Shoulders of the Hammerhand
Back: Shield of the Hammerhand
Chest: Hauberk of the Eastemnet
Hands: Gloves of the Eastemnet
Feet: Boots of the Helmingas

2. Soldier of Lighthorse

The next outfit I tried for a more rustic look; thankfully the new Hammerhand set made a really great focal point.  I used no armor piece with the exception of the helm to tie it all together.  The point was to give an appearance of a soldier fighting in a  lighthorse company.

3. The Noble Rohirrim

Of this one I took only one screenshot; this is a good leisurely outfit for a Rohan RPer.  Lightly armored, but not threatening.  When I was creating it I wanted to give him a look of nobility.  It turned out well!
